Renumbered System Regulation 29.01.03

System Regulation 29.01.03, Information Security, has been renumbered to align with the recently released System Policy 29.02.

The new regulation, System Regulation 29.02.01, incorporates:

  • designation and responsibilities of the System Chief Information Security Officer (SCISO)
  • organization, authority and responsibility of Texas A&M System Cybersecurity
  • system member information security responsibilities
  • reporting requirements, reflective of the recent transfer of responsibilities and authority from the Texas Department of Information Resources to Texas Cyber Command
  • requirements for member information security programs and plans, aligning member requirements with the NIST 800-53 control families

The revised regulation is available at https://policies.tamus.edu/29-02-01.pdf. Members with rules or procedures that reference 29.01.03 should update the reference at the next rule or procedure update.
